We Help Communities Help Themselves

Information and communication technologies are important tools, but we’re about a lot more than providing computers and computer skills. We mentor individuals and communities to develop knowledge, skills, the mindset and networks necessary to successfully address their development priorities. We help them improve their lives and living conditions, maintain a vibrant culture and preserve their environment. Our focus is to help transform an "I can’t" or “I’m not worth it” mentality to one of "I might not know how, but I will figure it out."

CEN promotes these activities and assists with entrepreneurial development and income-generation initiatives. We are currently applying our methodology to several small communities in the Brazilian Amazon, which has resulted in the community members' increased confidence and ability to drive and execute their development initiatives. Our work is creating more vibrant and independent communities.
